Download
software |
 |
|
The
EOL2020 software forms an integral part of the data acquisition
system, and it has been designed to be comprehensive and
easy to use. Some help windows appear
to make searching through menus and options easier.
As it is so simple to operate,
it can be used not only at the office but also directly
with the logger on site.
The download software and remote
monitoring system ensure safe and easy access to wind
data and logger status. It is simple to change the frequency
of the downloads from the comfort of your office, thereby
improving the status control of the sensors and the measurement
tower. |
|
 |
Site Selection |
 |
|
The
user creates a file for every site, containing
the characteristics for every sensor connected, together
with slope and offset if calibration data is available,
as well as a unique code for each sensor. |
|
 |
Remote
retrieval or memory card downloading |
 |
|
It
takes only a few seconds to download a binary file and
a text file, after which a brief summary of the data successfully
downloaded is produced.
No matter whether the data is
downloaded manually or remotely, the procedure is the
same.
Remote download is fast,
reliable and easy to use. The error control system makes
it impossible to download incorrect data, regardless of
how bad the telephone line may be. Furthermore, in the
case of unexpected loss of communication, the logger is
able to re-establish the download from the point where
communication was lost. |
|
 |
Remote
Monitoring |
 |
|
At
any moment and in real time, the data
for all the sensors connected to the logger, as well as
the status of the measurement tower, can be consulted.
This monitoring information can then be saved in files. |
|
 |
SMS and
e-mail reports |
 |
|
In
order to be quickly and easily informed of the current
status of the measuring system, wherever you are, it is
possible to request the logger to send a report with the
meteorological data and system self-check. In addition,
it may be programmed to send this information as often
as the user would like. These reports can be sent as an
SMS to a mobile phone or as an e-mail to a computer. |
|
 |
Automatic
remote download |
 |
|
In
order to reduce even more the operator time required for
data retrieval, the user can program the EOL2020 download
software to perform these operations automatically. Just
select the time and the frequency in days for each site
and the software will do the rest, getting excellent
results even with poor GSM signal conditions
and temporary loss of communication.
The status of all the stations
is shown on screen, and it is also possible to consult
the download register. |
|
 |
Graph
reports |
 |
|
The
software includes a powerful, user-friendly tool to create
graph reports containing the most interesting statistics
for wind assessment of a site.
By selecting the time interval and activating sensors
chosen, a historic data file and graphics for the desired
period are created.
Wind
speed, wind direction, wind rose and analogue
trend graphs can be generated in a very fast and easy
process. This facility reduces the time necessary for
wind studies.
It is also possible to program these time graphics to
be generated automatically whenever data is downloaded.
|
|
 |
TCP/IP
real time communications |
 |
|
| The
software can be set up to operate as a TCP/IP
server of real time data, which is continuously downloaded
from a data-logger. This facility is particularly intended
for use on wind farm meteorological
masts. To configure the system in this way, the automatic
monitoring option should be selected, and the
software will respond to any data request it receives.
Customer software is supplied with the source code to
enable this information to be entered into the SCADA
system of the wind farm.
